Lovell is a small Oxford County town of around 1,100 residents, incorporated in 1800, built around Kezar Lake -- a nine-mile-long, 155-foot-deep lake with White Mountain views that National Geographic once cited as one of the most beautiful in the world. The lake is largely hidden from the roads that surround it, which adds to the town's reputation for privacy and quiet. Sabattus Mountain offers hiking with sweeping views of the lake and the Presidential Range, and the Greater Lovell Land Trust maintains extensive public trails. Fryeburg and North Conway are about 15 minutes away. Waterfront property here is rare, closely held, and priced accordingly.
