Fryeburg is Oxford County's oldest town, incorporated in 1777, with a population of around 3,400 and a location directly on the New Hampshire border. The Saco River runs through it, and Route 302 makes it one of the primary entry points into Maine from the west. Fryeburg Academy, a well-regarded college preparatory school, anchors the community year-round. Every October, the Fryeburg Fair draws roughly 300,000 visitors, making it the largest agricultural fair in the state. For buyers, the town offers historic village character, river access, and immediate proximity to North Conway's shopping, dining, and ski areas.
